Every Week

Badminton - Samuel Kings School, Alston - Mondays term time 7.30 to 9pm. All levels welcome.

Line Dancing - Nenthead Village Hall - Tuesdays 7.45 to 10pm. All welcome. Contact Susan Richardson for further details 01434 38124.

Knit 'n Natter - Garrigill Village Hall - Wednesdays 2 to 4pm

Yoga - Garrigill Village Hall - Tuesdays 6.30 to 8pm

Carpet Bowls - Alston Primary School, Nenthead Village Hall and Slaggyford Village Hall - Wednesday and Thursday evenings - there's more info here                  

Midday Prayers - St John's Church, Garrigill - Most Fridays at noon for 20 mins

Parish Council Surgery - the Alston Moor Partnership Shop (next to The Moody Baker) - Saturday mornings between 10.30am and noon. Drop in and see a Parish Council representative.

 

Every Month   

Alston Library Police Desk - Every fourth Wednesday of the month from 10am until noon. 

Indoor Market - Alston Town Hall - Every first Saturday of the month from 11am to 3pm  

Holy Communion - St John's Church, Garrigill -  Every fourth Sunday of the month at 9.30pm for 50 minutes.   

 

 

Monthly Music Sessions

 

St Johns House , Garrigill - every last Wednesday of the month. 8.30pm till late. All genres. Sing along, play along or just come along. Bar.

Alston House, Alston - First Tuesday of the month at 8.30pm. A melange of folk, country and blues. Sing, play or just enjoy.

The Howard Arms, Brampton. Third Tuesday of the month at 8.30pm. Traditional folk with a changing monthly theme. Often enlivened by the presence of Maddy Prior.

The Miner's Arms, Nenthead - The nearest Thursday on or before the full moon - we're jamming from 9pm to late.  All genres. All welcome. Phone 381427 for info.

The Samson Inn, Gilsland. Second Sunday of the month, from 7.30pm. Country and blues singaround.
The Blenkinsopp Castle Inn, Blenkinsopp. (Just off A69 near Greenhead) Third Sunday of the month, from 7.30pm. Open Mic.  Pop, folk, blues, country - you name it. 
 
The Wallace Arms, Featherstone-Rowfoot. Last Sunday of the month, from 7.30pm. Acoustic sit around strum and sing what you like.
